Let me try.

I write mainly about my life. And chaos is one of the main things that keep me going. Well I wouldn’t say keeps me going, in fact it does the exact opposite but chaos is a sure thing in my life. Well we all have our own versions of events and the following is mine.

From the start of the day, I wake up. My bedroom is cluttered, it’s an absolute mish mash of clothes and other homely items. Items that dont belong in a bedroom. Items that don’t have a home anywhere else in my house. The clothes belong in a wardrobe, but do not get put there. Instead they sit peacefully on the floor, collecting dust which results in them needing to be cleaned again, only to be placed gently back on the floor to repeat the process. Don’t get me wrong, most of the clothes we own live in the wardrobe. But then there’s those that don’t fit in the remaining space and those that I deem unworthy of being hung up – those slobby t-shirts for example.

I struggle daily to stay on top of things, to keep things organised, tidy and clean. My girlfriend doesn’t help to be honest, she’s very laid back, lazy some would say but that is her and I wouldn’t change a single thing about her (that’s the correct thing to say isn’t it?)

Leaving the bedroom doesn’t help solve the issue. The rest of the house is the same. DVD cases not on the DVD rack. Clean pots left on the draining board. I always want my house to be like the houses you see on the TV, always spotless, organised and look homely.

I’m always running around and never seem to have time for things I need to do. Does anyone find they are the same? The last thing I want to be doing after a day at work is to come home and remove the mess that is the place I live in.

The thing is, this isn’t how I would see “chaos” – I see it in the way that Syria is being destroyed and blown to pieces, you know the things you read in the news on a daily basis. Not in the sense that I cannot find my keys in a morning because I refuse to hang a key cabinet up on my wall.

But this is the chaos that happens in my life, I guess we all have our own things that relate to chaos and these are mine.
